This type of garbage truck is the most common type of garbage collection truck and is used in most residential areas to collect garbage from kerbside bins. Such vehicles typically have a hydraulic lift mechanism that raises or lowers the bin into a hopper at the rear of the truck. The work of the hopper can be completed through the control panel in the cabin.
When the hopper is full, the hydraulic mechanism shovels the rubbish into the truck's compaction section for compression. The waste then takes up less space in the truck body. This cycle continues until the truck compactor body is full.
