Nov 06, 2025

This guide details the operational procedure for the sweeper vacuum truck. Following these steps is essential to achieve efficient cleaning and maintain safe equipment operation throughout the process.

Step-by-Step Operating Procedure

a) Positioning the Vehicle
Drive the sweeper to the starting point of the target road section and bring it to a halt. Keep the chassis engine idling, place the transmission in neutral, and set the parking brake to the "Park" position.

b) Selecting the Operation Mode
Set the "Operation Mode" selector switch to the desired mode (refer to Control Panel-13).

c) Choosing the Washing Intensity
Adjust the "Standard-Intensive Wash" rotary switch (Control Panel-8) to the preferred setting:

Standard: The auxiliary engine operates at 1700 rpm.

Intensive Wash: The auxiliary engine runs at 2000 rpm.
Switching between these two speeds is permitted during operation.

d) Setting the Sweeping Speed
Use the "Low Speed-Sweeping Disc-Medium Speed" rotary switch (Control Panel-11) to select the appropriate setting:

Low Speed: Sweeping brushes operate at 60 rpm.

Sweeping Disc: The disc works at 100 rpm.

Medium Speed: The disc operates at 80 rpm.

e) Starting the Auxiliary Engine

Ensure the "Operation Start-Stop" rotary switch (Control Panel-12) is in the "Stop" position.

Turn the "Stop-Auxiliary Engine Operation-Start" key switch (Control Panel-9) to the "Auxiliary Engine Operation" position. The power indicator will light up, and the auxiliary engine will begin preheating. The preheating duration depends on ambient temperature.

After preheating, turn the key switch to the "Start" position and hold. The system will automatically disengage the auxiliary engine clutch, start the engine, and re-engage the clutch.

Release the key immediately once the engine starts; it will automatically return to the "Auxiliary Engine Operation" position.
Note: Do not hold the key in the "Start" position for more than 10 seconds. If the engine fails to start, release the key, wait 15 seconds, turn the key to "Stop," and then restart.

f) Activating the Working Mechanisms
Turn the "Operation Start-Stop" rotary switch to the "Operation Start" position. The system will automatically activate the relevant mechanisms based on the selected mode, including:

Sweeping discs extending outward and lowering.

Nozzle descending.

Water spray arms extending.

Sweeping discs rotating.

Electric water pump sprinkling water.

Spray arms emitting water.

Auxiliary engine accelerating to the selected operating speed.

g) Conducting the Sweeping/Washing Operation
Once all mechanisms are confirmed to be functioning normally, proceed with the vehicle. The operational speed should be maintained between 3–8 km/h. For sweeping-only mode (road cleaning), the maximum speed should not exceed 20 km/h. During operation, you may activate the sweeping disc lights and choose between warning music or voice alerts.

h) Stopping the Operation
Stop the operation under the following conditions:

Task completion.

Waste tank water level reaching maximum capacity.

Detection of any abnormal vehicle behavior.
Turn the "Operation Start-Stop" rotary switch to the "Stop" position. The system will automatically deactivate all working mechanisms, including:

Auxiliary engine decelerating to idle.

Water spray arms and electric water pump stopping.

Sweeping discs halting rotation.

Nozzle retracting and sweeping discs retracting. If the waste tank water level alarm persists for 60 seconds without intervention, or if the clean water tank level drops below the minimum threshold, the control system will automatically execute the stop procedure.

i) Shutting Down the Auxiliary Engine
Turn off the auxiliary engine when:

The operation is complete.

Switching between sweeping and washing modes.

Abnormal vehicle conditions are detected.
Rotate the "Stop-Auxiliary Engine Operation-Start" key switch to the "Stop" position. This cuts power to the auxiliary engine, extinguishes the power indicator, and shuts down the engine.
