Before lifting the refuse container, ensure that the unloaded operation reaches 6 standard atmospheres of air pressure, then engage the power take-off (PTO) unit (located below the steering wheel in the driver's cabin). After checking all components for leaks or abnormalities, proceed with the operation.
I. Lowering a Refuse Container
1. Extend the outriggers by pushing the outrigger control lever to the "EXTEND" position. The support legs will lower to stabilize the vehicle.
2. Operate the main arm by pushing its control lever to the "EXTEND" position. The arm will extend, using the lifting chains to hoist the container, rotate it over the hinge pin, and lower it to the ground.
3. Once the container is stable on the ground, detach the lifting chains and secure them on the arm's chain hangers. Retract the main arm fully by pulling its lever to the "RETRACT" position. Then, retract the outriggers by pulling their lever to the "RETRACT" position. Disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO). The vehicle is now ready for transport.
II. Loading a Refuse Container
4. Ensure the vehicle's air system reaches a minimum of 6 bar (standard atmosphere). Engage the PTO and position the vehicle correctly. Stabilize the vehicle by extending the outriggers.
5. Extend the main arm to a suitable position over the container. Attach the lifting chains to the container's lifting lugs.
6. Activate the main arm retraction by pulling its control lever to the "RETRACT" position. The arm will lift the container and place it securely onto the truck's swing-arm chassis.
7. Secure the vehicle for travel by retracting the outriggers. Disengage the PTO. The vehicle is now ready for transport with the loaded container.
III. Unloading (Dumping) Refuse
8. Prepare for dumping by ensuring 6 bar air pressure and engaging the PTO. Extend the outriggers to stabilize the vehicle. Attach the dumping chains to the container's designated dumping lugs.
9. Initiate the dump cycle by pushing the main arm control lever to the "EXTEND" position. The arm will lift the container via the chains, pivoting it to dump the contents.
10. Complete the operation by retracting the main arm to lower the empty container back onto the chassis. Retract the outriggers and disengage the PTO. The dumping process is complete, and the vehicle is ready for transport.
